St. Patrick's Day "Where Is" game-Freebie

I created this game for my university pre-intern and my parent volunteers to use next week as a literacy center.  Click on the pictures to download.

The first one uses the high frequency words from the Harcourt Brace Trophies Reading Program as well as a few extra words that our district has required this year.

The second game uses words from the 2nd grade Dolch word list.

All clip art is from Microsoft.

Celebrating Tet!

We had a fabulous time this morning learning about the Vietnamese New Year Tet!

A parent came to teach us about Tet because her daughter was born in Vietnam and they wanted to share her heritage with us!

First the parent read us a book about Tet called "Ten Mice for Tet".

Here is the parent reading the story:

Next, we made a dragon craft because it is the year of the dragon.  They turned out really cute!

We learned a lot and had fun!
